Students interviewed by BBC for Money Mentors

On Tuesday 5th December a group of Year 8 and 9 students were chosen for a BBC 5live recording with the journalist Colletta Smith. She was interested in how money and finance was taught at BPSC and watched a lesson taught by Miss Alsop before interviewing the students. Colletta was interested to hear about the money mentor programme where students from BPSC teach students from Years 5 and 6 from the feeder schools lessons on money and the importance of it. She also asked the pupils how the lessons they received in school helped them with money in the real world and information about finance.

The pupils all really enjoyed the experience of being interviewed by a BBC journalist with the recording being aired at 5.35pm on the day of recording and available to listen to afterwards on iPlayer.
