CREATIVE FACULTY
The Creative Faculty currently consists of the following curriculum areas:
- Art
- Computing & ICT
- Drama
- Music
- Food
- Design Technology
The Creative Faculty staff are passionate about their subjects and pride themselves in working together, promoting and developing enjoyment and interest in each of the subjects, to ensure that all students achieve their potential. Innovative thinking, confidence, creative problem solving, resilience and flexibility are qualities highly valued by employers and each of the Creative subjects provide methods for developing these abilities, providing students with a powerful set of life skills for the future.
In order to nurture the natural talent and enthusiasm of our students, the Creative subject’s learning environments are well resourced, enabling a varied range of learning experiences. The faculty is ambitious in its pursuit of excellence and provides an exciting range of activities, both in class and as extra-curricular opportunities.
The true purpose of arts education is not necessarily to create more professional dancers or artists. It’s to create more complete human beings who are critical thinkers, who have curious minds, who can lead productive lives’.
