Year 7 and 8 Boys Handball November 2018

On Thursday 15th November, the Year 7 and 8 handball team travelled to Lathom for the West Lancashire Schools Handball Competition. After a slow start the boys grew in confidence and started to find the net more consistently. Unfortunately, this came too late in the first game and just failed in a close come back to lose 5-3 to Our Lady Queen of Peace. The second match resulted in a thrilling 4-4 draw v St Bedes. However, they saved the best for last with a convincing 6-1 win against Lathom. Burscough’s final placement in the competition was third but the boys did really well and must be commended for the effort and improvement shown throughout the competition. Well done!
