North West Novice Gymnastics Competition November 2018
On Saturday 10th November 2018, a group of Burscough Priory Academy students competed in the North West Novice Gymnastics Competition. This is the first time the school has entered a gymnastics competition and for many of the gymnasts its was also their first ever gymnastics competition. They competed against gymnasts from schools all over the region and their performances were amazing. Pictured we have the team; Millie, Helaina, Charlotte, Niamh, Brooke, Lucia, Millie, Maisie, Owen, Caity, Mieka, Sophie, Rachel and Eve. There were some outstanding individual performances from;
- Rachel who won the bronze medal for year 8 girls vault and the silver medal for year 8 girls floor.
- Eve who won the gold medal for year 8 girls floor.
- Owen who won the silver medal for year 8 boys floor and the gold medal for year 8 boys vault.
- Charlotte who won the silver medal for year 7 girls floor.
- Millie who won gold for year 7 girls floor.
- Maisie picked up a special award for showing endeavour and resilience throughout her performances.
We are so proud of every single one of our gymnasts and the judges told Mrs Ashurst on the day what a pleasure it was to judge all of them.
