District Athletics July 2022

Well done to our athletics team at the West Lancashire district athletics competition. There were lots of fantastic performances from everyone who took part. Huge well done to our year 8 girls team who picked up the bronze position overall. We also had lots of individual medal winners including Marbel who broke the district record for year 7 girls discus with an incredible throw of 22m! Outstanding work, Marbel!

Some of our individual results were as follows:

• Frankie: 3rd place in Y7 girls long jump
• Marbel: 1st place Y7 girls discus
• Robert: 1st place Y7 boys long jump
• Darcey: 1st place Y8 girls long jump
• Olivia: 2nd place Y8 girls 100m
• Ella: 2nd place Y8 girls javelin
• Daniel: 1st place Y8 boys triple jump
• Ella, Ava, Caitlin & Olivia: 2nd place Y8 girls 4x100m relay
• Tallulah: 3rd place Y9/10 girls shot putt
• Charlie: 1st place Y9/10 boys 1500m
• James: 1st place Y9/10 boys 400m
• Lucia: 1st place Y9/10 girls 300m and 3rd place Y9/10 girls javelin

Our team results were as follows:

• Y7 girls: 5th place
• Y7 boys: 7th place
• Y8 girls: 3rd place
• Y8 boys: 7th place
• Y9/10 girls: 6th place
• Y9/10 girls: 5th place
