Pay Scale: MPS / UPR + TLR £6,828 pa

An exciting opportunity has arisen in this fantastic school, for a Head of Learning Support to lead and manage the provision for SEND. This person will develop the teaching and learning of colleagues in order to maximise the progress of every learner within the Learning Support Faculty.

The Head of Learning support will work with colleagues from across Endeavour Learning Trust in developing the provision for students and ensuring the Trust vision is delivered. In our schools we have a relentless focus on excellence, high standards of behaviour but with the pragmatic emphasis on the balance between challenge and support, high expectation and nurture. And this counts for students and staff, teaching and non-teaching, so that our schools develop a family ethos, where everyone wants the best for everyone else.

Burscough Priory Academy is undergoing a transformation, having joined Endeavour Learning Trust on September 1st 2018. Already we have found Burscough Priory students to be hard working, willing and enthusiastic and keen to work with their teachers and support staff to get the very best out of their school days. To supervise students in the absence of a teacher to enable them to continue their learning by carrying out a pre-prepared exercise under supervision.

PASTORAL & BEHAVIOUR TEAM LEADER - PERMANENT

Job Title: Pastoral and Behaviour Team Leader - Permanent

Grade: Grade 7 SCP 19-25

Salary: SCP 19 £24,799 pa to SCP 25 £28,785 pa

Pro-rata: SCP 19 £22,795 pa to SCP 25 £26,459 pa (Please note this salary includes the additional 13 days)

Location: Burscough Priory Academy

Hours per week: 37 hours per week (8.30am– 4.30 pm, 8.30am – 4pm on Friday) 

Additional Hours: 2.5 hours per week paid as 13 days (8.00 am – 8.30 am SLT Meetings)

Term Time plus 5 INSET days and 5 flexible days to be agreed

To lead the team who are responsible for the implementation of the school’s behaviour policy. This team works directly with students, provide mentoring and/or pastoral support to overcome particular obstacles to learning in relation to pastoral issues, for example, behaviour or attendance.

To take responsibility for Year 7 and the Year 6-7 transition process.
